With a little practice you can create really incredible landscapes on your PC. You can adjust the type of terrain, luminosity (midday sun, romantic dusks...), terrain type (plains, rugged, hilly...), the type of clouds that appear (a lot, few, none...), add water, rain, snow and its intensity, the angle at which to view the terrain, and many other parameters so your work won`t lack in any detail. If you don`t believe it, visit the image gallery on the author`s webpage and enjoy images which include an exact recreation of the surface of Mars, apart from valleys, mountainous landscapes, arid desserts... Really impressive.
